Welcome to the Anderson Fire Protection District
On behalf of the members of the Anderson Fire Protection District, we
welcome you to our website. The Anderson Fire Protection District is a
combination paid/volunteer department made up of dedicated men and women who
are very proud of their profession. The Anderson Fire Protection District is
an all risk department serving a diverse and rapidly growing area in
southern Shasta County responding to over 2,100 calls in 2008, which
represents a seven percent increase from 2007.
Our fire district covers the entire City of Anderson as well as
unincorporated areas outside the city limits. Due to our coverage of the
City of Anderson, there is a common misconception that we are part of the
municipal government. Although we often work closely with the City of
Anderson on various projects, the Anderson Fire Protection District remains
an independent fire district separate from any governance of the City of
Anderson.
As with many fire departments, we take great pride in our history and today
are equally committed to providing excellent service. As we look to the
future, it is our pledge to continue to take aggressive steps towards being
recognized as a progressive fire department.
